Last time i checked baiting was legal in Ohio and deer drives also if they are done where you have permission.
My question to you, alpahtail and bobbie are...seems like you guys have been running trailcams so am i to assume one of you guys were hoping to kill this buck?
Or just getting pictures to admire.
Seems like their was alot of sore feelingsover this buck getting killed by another hunter.
X2. The last 15 pages of this thread have been nothing but you guys spreading rumors and what not about this buck. I'm sensing a little obsession and jealously.

I just heard that Chad has herpies... He killed a buck last year and I didn't, but that has nothing to do with what I said. It's just what I heard...lol

No bore. I do not hunt that area. As I stated before I've seen this deer as well as many others in a very rich city limit setting where I would often drive just to look at deer. That's all. No jealousy here. I never thought about hunting him. I assumed he always stayed in that area he knew was safe. But, the TC pics some have are just north of there in legal shooting areas. So my history with this deer was only looking at him from the road on occasions he was out.

I'm not trying to pile on to the man either. As I hope this deer was taken legally. But if any of you are familiar with runzos, his story was posted first there, comments came flying in on there, as well as ones saying they saw that buck the night before in his city limit area(I understand he could have left there overnight). My question is, does anyone know why the post and comment on runzos sight was taken down?? I heard tonight he's under serious investigation. Anyone hear any news on that?

I ask this because if he's under investigation would they make social media posts of that deer be taken down? Because runzos leaves pics of deer up for years! Didn't know if it was coincidence or what.

If I killed that deer, I'd personally call their asses and tell them to take it down. Wasn't it his buddy that posted pics in the first place?

Mike has probably been hearing hearsay such as been posted here and pulled it down just in case..... He seemed to know the guy and was happy for him when it was posted.... Next time I go in I'll ask....

Yes his buddy posted it. And bore, no sore feelings. Just knowing that buck wasn't killed on my road 3-4 miles away made me question other things. Where there's one lie, there's usually more.IMO.

And I don't know mike that well personally, but I wouldn't think he would take down a buck like that from his site just because a couple people question it.

And slam, I get the whole if I killed a monster I wouldn't tell anyone theory. But you have to realize this buck was WELL KNOWN. Its not some buck only 3-5 hunting buddies were chasing. Most people interested in the hunting story behind it locally already knew its whereabouts. That's why I see it pointless and fishy to still lie about where it was shot. That's all.

See now your saying he's lying. What proof do you have? We all pretty much said we'd lie about where we killed it. I wouldn't want greedy fuggers knowing where I killed it.

My proof is I live on the road it was said to be killed. Noone on my road even knows who this guy is that I've talked to. And its 3-4 miles crossing a busy highway 2-3 other busy roads, new developments, a mall, and various other obstacles.(from where he's known to live for 3-5 years). There's no way that deer was killed on my road.
And yes I am 100% saying he's lying it was killed on my road.

And slam your missing my point!. EVERYONE already knew where that buck has lived for YEARS!! he's not a secret. So saying (lying) about where you shot him when people already know that's not true is only asking for people to question you. It just so happens, that he lied about the wrong road. Because someone who knows this deer(me) lives on that road and I will 100% say that buck wasn't killed on my road. So he's lying.
THE DEER MAY HAVE BEEN LEGAL but, it was not killed on my road!
And you only tell a lie, to cover up another.

Let's recap. Deer is still dead. Guy who may or may not be innocent has been crucified. Rumors have been started. We gained three new members to TOO. Ironically, you guys (first two to join anyway) signed up to set the record straight when the guys on here were simply looking at the deer with zero knowledge of it and saying "What a stud."

This is a very inviting website. I am not trying to run you off. Stick around and I think you will find this to be the best website around. Check out the other threads. We have much to offer. Something for everyone outdoors. Let this thread die man.
