We are in full on "embrace the suck" phase of this storm. Stopped at home to change out of these sweaty clothes (from sidewalk shoveling). Sat down for a minute. Think I might eat something. Have opened all businesses 3 times. Some 4 times. Loaders are keeping big lots open. Sounds like 3-4 more hours of heavy stuff and then we can get a good cleanup on things. I'm beat and probably have a solid 9hrs to go.
This snow up hear is very heavy the ol snowblower did not like it at all!

3 hours since my last update and I'm surprised that we have NOT lost utility power yet. Moments ago, I took another stroll around the property just to see what the status is around here. So far, just a bunch of small tree debris on the ground and nothing real major has fallen yet. I am really concerned about one of the big pine trees that is closest to our utility service though. It's bent over at the top pretty good at the moment and I can't imagine it NOT breaking off completely before this all ends, especially if we continue to get another 12+ hours of the this freezing rain, which that is still forecasted.

Ice accumulation on everything is probably a little more than 1/4" at the moment.

The creek water levels continue remain within their backs for now.

Current temperature is 31 and the North wind still remains the same as this morning, around 12-25 mph.

Additional photos from the stroll.

Near miss driving home from my first day back at work. Left early and watched this tree fall in front of me. Had the wife bring me the saw and I cut it out from the road… things are getting shitty boys. Slushy ice roads and down trees everywhere

We don’t have the snow fall but it’s like walking on 3 inches of sno-cone ice here in Warren county and our county isn’t even highlighted in that map. Lol
