I wanted to troll for saugeye. Mason wanted to bass fish a pond. I have no idea why ....

We prefished the Ohio river on Montgomery pool for a tournament next Saturday. Not a stellar day but we caught a good limit of fish. Basically hit a bunch of of spots and we’d catch one or two and then move on to the next one.... Had the whole pool pretty much to ourselves until noon when we left. Was a nice cool morning too be on the river.
Not the quality that Mason caught but decent for the river lol....
Yes it was cool enough that the Vortex bibs were on as well as a jacket, gets a little chilly when you’re running mid 60’s at 0600 lol....

Perch bite is on. Got 370 Perch in 3 days last weekend. Hit me up if anyone wants to go.

Heading back down again this evening to give it a whirl and see if we can 3 peat lol...
Y'all might not think much of it, but it's the biggest bass pulled out of the biggest pond on the tree farm. Really need to thin them out as there is a slew of bass that are super skinny in the 10-12" range, just too over populated. Caught a ton of bluegill as well today, be eating good tomorrow!
Biggest bass I've seen in person as well anywhere. But then again my family was never big into bass, we chases the gills n crappie.

Awesome looking fish everybody. Got 3 more weeks of the academy and i will be back on the water or up a tree. Bow season opens for us this saturday.
Last night i did a little fishing outback after doing some yard work. The yellows were willing!

Actually did a little creek fishing tonight. Kody hooked into a solid 2 lb smallie and we didn’t get it landed. I slipped on the bank and busted my ass...that ended up being the highlight. Bummer because it really was a solid fish.
