Buildup/drips of the coating the frame and most undercarriage is coated with. I think they still carry em through acid/e-coat/protect coat with nose up and tail down on the hooks.

First fill-up of 32.1gal today at 540 miles. Started with 63 miles, leaving 477/32.1on this tank for an average of 14.9mpg combined driving. We did a lot of running around this past weekend, kids sports and such, that are only 10-15mins away. First picture is right after resetting everything at the pump. I use Trip 2 to watch the different segments and start and stop is definitely a killer with a lot of 12 and 14mpg showing. I didn't baby the pedal at all, just my normal driving style. I noticed this is in the 1400-2100 RPM range. This week will show more on the highway side of things and I think I'll see the avg. move up to 16-17.

Yesterday I removed the 4x4 stickers on the bed and the N-Fab step bars arrived today. Much better looking and both the mrs. and the boys approved the easier in/out capability.

There are hardly any other accessories available yet. GM went away front the 2yr/2maint. appts. for free, to a rewards program. I switched trucks/VINs 3/4 of the way thru the test drive and purchase. Dealership screwed up title paperwork, I got 2x the rewards sent lol. I waited a few wks, cashed in on window vents and a front bug guard today, only place to find them....Cha Ching!!

Whew, that last month flew by! Just broke the 5K mile mark, and running on tank #11. The DIC is showing 15.8mpg avg. over it's lifetime as me as her owner.

Hand calculated deviation has grown to 0.8mpg compared to the DIC, with a running hand calculated avg. of 15.0mpg (unloaded, towing, hauling, short commutes and a few 200+ mile trips mixed in).

Middle 15's is what you can expect in mixed, every day, unloaded driving. I have no complaints given its capacity/capability in addition to watching diesel break that $0.60+ increase over 87 octane.

Avg. = 15.0
High = 15.9
Low = 12.7

The wheels and tires still drive me bonkers....

No different except quicker heat out of the vents lol. I have noticed about a 0.5mpg loss over the last 2-3 tanks, don't know if it's the longer idle times in the AM, the colder weather, or winter fuel. More data to better understand the trend is needed.

Overall I have become accustomed to the driving nature of this girl on the pizza cutters. I still notice the floating every now and then, but not as much as the first month. A few more days and she will be 4 months old and approaching 8K miles. She's had 1 oil change and is due for tire rotations. Gonna take advantage of some 60* December weather and do that this week.

Good deal. I always liked the gas motor better in colder weather. No turbo spool on icy roads is nice too.

I'm guessing more idle time and winter blend. My mileage in the Tacoma dropped a couple MPG the last couple tanks.

Dropped the truck off last night to the dealer. Metal rattle at 1400-1500 rpm was a bent heat shield and we believe the random blinkers after shutoff are tied to the TPS.

I mentioned earlier in this thread that I found 55-60 as a nice range for all 4 corners unloaded, but the trigger for the rears to turn on the low pressure idiot light is around 62-63. Got to talking with the service advisor, it was stated the tech couldn't recreate the issue, even though it did it when I was dropping it off in the service lane last night. Only thing different is they rotated the tires, adjusted pressures to OEM spec, and fixed heat shield.

I'm gonna leave pressures where they are and see if that's it. No tech bulletins, nothing they could locate at other local dealers so a case submitted. Pretty damn funny!

Calm your tits. I’m just playing w you. All vehicles suck when your having issues. That’s why if I’m gonna spend a lot of cake on a vehicle it will be new. All break down at some point, some more than others. Hope everything works out for you. Even if you stick w a Chevy, you will most likely end up in a Ford when they pick up your broke down shit lol.

Your not old enough to remember seeing a vehicle owner jumping up and down excited because they actually got 85k miles and haven’t rebuilt the motor yet.

No way to prove any of that. The tuner and exhaust was all basically new when I bought it. We can point fingers all day, in the end, I’m done buying used shit. This thread should be enough to run anyone away from buying a used truck. I’m over it
