Never made it to WalMart to get the sawyers. Wish I had!!!

I took my youngest up to ride the ATV and I made the mistake of getting out in the tall grass to check out a few things. Walked literally only 20 feet and had FIVE of them crawling up my jeans. This was after spraying down with "Backwoods Off" (DEET) before we left the house.

Got home and found two more of the bastards under my shirt, one in the process of attaching to my beer belly.

I HATE TICKS!

Keep us posted on how it works for you. I'm planning on doing a test next weekend to see how it does in my tick plot.

Sprayed my boots and 2 pairs of pants a week ago. Haven't seen a tic since. My wife had one on her earlier today, she was in shorts though.

I bought a can of permetherine last year and used it on my early season clothes...didn't get one single tick on me ...I believe it works.

I think I got it from amazon, with our prime membership.

Got to try the sawyers today. Took the boys to the farm and sprayed our pants with it. I took the same path I did the last time where the platoon ambushed me but only got one of the mofo's on me.

Here's the deal, though. I watched the little bastard to see what would happen. He went half way up my pants and then started going in circles and then just dropped. He landed on some folds in my jeans down by my shoes and just kept going in circles. Heck yeah, man. I call that a win!

I can't say for sure if they were out in full force today, but the one who found my pants obviously didn't like what he was crawling on. I didn't put much on, either. It made a believer out of me today.

Holy cow. I found a 32 ounce bottle of 36.8% permethrin on Amazon for just a tad over $23.

If my numbers are right, diluting that to .5% (pretty sure that's the EPA recommendation for this stuff, would have to dbl check) would yield 18.4 gallons. That's a lifetime supply x 5 right there.

I used regular old Sportsmens spray this weekend at AEP. Only found one tick and I think it came off my buddies stuff as it was on my hand after helping him load up. It's 40% deet. I spray from the knees down and rarely have issues.

Pulled into Target tonight and a damn tick was on my center consul. Keep in mind I am a city slicker...haven't been in the woods in my truck since last Friday.

Got a dog? A few years back I had a couple seem to appear out of the blue and hadn't been in the woods. Figured out they were hitching rides into the house on my dogs.

Does it have an expiration date?
