Sorry to read that Brock.

As much fun and heartache he gave you guys, sometimes it's nice to just be able to move on and get back to shooting what excites you at that moment.

Almost seems fitting a monarch like that would get lost to the forests and farmlands. Knowing the feeling, I can commiserate. One things for sure, I'll never forget that first trail cam pic. True legend.

Trying to remain positive here but I'm not giving up hope that he's still alive! Bucks like him might be just avoiding the high traffic areas and cameras. It's a stretch since he's been so photogenic in the past but he's also older and wiser......or dead!

Another thought, if someone killed a deer like that it would certainly get some social media time and news would start getting out I'd think but I guess he could have been shot/killed and not found or poached TOO!

Here's to hoping he's still breathing! Positive juju headed your guys way!

Thanks guys, it sure was fun while it lasted...and miserable. ha.

I moved a camera over to a section we have not been in at all this year. It is where I found his shed, also on the side of the farm where I first ran him out to Mason. Who knows, he could be hanging there. It's just a little doubtful since he has been visiting the other fellas mineral site for a couple of years at least. I've still got a little hope though as the landowner's son reported seeing "the biggest deer I've ever seen" earlier this fall in one of his bean fields, Mason thought he saw him two times in late summer, and another neighboring landowner reported seeing two giants together back in July. I don't know, maybe he's alive, but if we are destined to kill him he will have to show up soon. These two boys are done letting 150s walk, we are killing something this year! Maybe... ha

Oh yeah, here is another funny note about good ol Tines. My neighbor was in today and whipped out his phone to show me a pic of Tines, asking if it was him. I told him it was and that it was the same pic that every redneck in this county saw last year. He said one of the local guys here is claiming it is from this year and is on his ground... he's an "outfitter". haha. Dude is trying to sell hunts for a deer that isn't on his ground, common.

That's sad and pathetic what some people will do to make a buck! No pun intended! Lol

Still hoping he's out there for ya!

I certainly hope he is alive and well but remember that last year the Amish boys found seven decapitated bucks on the back of the farm. And I never did get him coming to corn in late season. Aside from rumors of a big one, I've gotten t nothing at this point to make me think he is still with us. Hope, that is all.

Good luck to you boys Tines or no Tines. I know you will enjoy your time out with Mason. I'm already missing going out with Layla. Although, she did ask yesterday if we could pay a lunch and have a long doe hunt.
