This cold weather should slow things down and maybe make season a little better. Last year they were done breeding by the time season came in on our place. I had video of breeding on March 15th last year.

I heard a bazillion jakes on the roost this morning. I have a group of around 20 that hang out with 1 Tom. I figure it was them. Nothing else sounding off. The cold wet weather has them way behind last year and that's a great thing.

We messed with 11 jakes on Sunday. The big boys were back in the woods and gobbled a few times. At one point, I got all 11 jakes to long neck and gobble. K thought that was TOO cool.

I had 4 long beards all sorts of fired up this AM. Walked out to get in the truck and heard gobbles close to the neighbor's house, so I grabbed my new Primos Piggyback call and boy howdy, they wanted some of me. 😂
