Do you prefer to seeing a Big Buck coming in from a distant and have plenty of time to check him out or would you rather hear a twig snap and his almost under you???? Myself .. I'd rather things happen fast and I don't get rattled... I have plenty of time to admire him once hes on the ground...

I honestly don't think I have ever killed a nice buck that it took a long time for it to happen. Most of them happened fairly quickly. By that I mean it was probably less than a minute from the time I first saw it till the time that I killed it. Now I know with the one nice buck my daughter killed it took a good while for him to come in.

Although I don't have many bucks on the wall compared to some others, I've had a ton of very close calls... and anymore I find as much or more enjoyment in that fact alone. The chase of a big buck is what motivates me to keep hunting throughout the entire length of archery season. So having said all that, I'd much rather have one take his good ol sweet time coming in and allow me to get a good look. The thought of getting surprised and rushing a decision to shoot a buck does not appeal to me. But if I did get in that situation, and he happened to be a booner, I'd allow it.

I get what you're saying there. Both of mine were known to be in the area via TC pics. Not sure if I'd want a second guesser sneaking up on me though so I'd have to agree with your point of view [emoji41].

I don't either. Might be why I haven't taken one that has taken his sweet time. Any more I don't mind if I rush a decision and shoot a buck that isn't as big as I thought it was. I still had fun in the process.

Makes perfect sense to me. If it's a buck I'm familiar with, I'm sure it won't take more than a few seconds to make a decision anyway, so I'd be all for that. Oddly enough, I usually don't get rattled much by bucks. It's weird but the does make me more nervous before a shot opportunity than the bucks do!

That's what it's all about... FUN!
