Alright now that we are rolling into some good weather its time to get out and do some shooting. Post pics and let everyone know how ya did!

Went out for the first time this year and tried a new place. Tons of carp floppin in the shallows and I ended up get 4 just wading through the water. This may be the beginning to something good!

As much as I love shooting out of a boat, I'll always have a thing for wading. I personally think you can hone stalking skills that can apply to other aspects of bowhunting. It will be awhile before I can get out, I look forward to your updates and other TOO members. Great idea for a thread!

Been out a couple times, we have managed to shoot quite a few here and there. It's been small water with smaller fish. Nothing too crazy yet.

Erie shoot in a couple weeks!

It was a lot of fun wading today. I am usually in a boat but this was a nice change in pace for me. I found sneaking up on carp is not as easy as it sounds, but I am starting to figure it out! :pickle:

Always like to wade myself!!! Can't have them shoot between your legs when your on a boat lol. Sometimes when the small males are riding on the backs of the big females you can get two with one shot.

Feeeeeeesh.

Dats right!!!

yeee haww looks like its on. Went out for a bit today missed a lot. The water was a lot more muddy than the other day and they seem to be out in a little deeper water. Still a nice day to be out!

Oh yeah , , well I'm goin up in the afternoon . Lol . For those who don't know a group of us go to Erie this weekend every yr and hang out , camp , and bowfish. We stay at East harbor state park .

Is there any good spots to bowfish near columbus? Me and a buddy are looking into getting bowfishing setups on our hunting bows.

Also, aside from the aarow and retreiver is there anything we'd need to do to our bows to use them for bowfishing? Or is it better to just buy a specific bow for bowfishing?

Buy a bow. We shoot fish with bow designed for zero let off and set at 30-32 pounds.

We've doing pretty well up until this point. The recent monsoons have put a bit of a holdup on things at the moment.

Bumping this so I can find it from my phone… Pic is NOT from Ohio, but it's still worth sharing. It's one of my military buddies, Andrew who is a very avid outdoorsman.

Sure the angle makes it even bigger. But this guy is about 5-7 and 150 lbs. look at the size of those scales next to his fingernails... He hasn't answered me on measurements or weight yet, I'll post them when he answers me.
