Saw a triple on the north side of 80 in Mercer County tonight and thought of you guys. Keep that bit turning to the right!

The back side of an Marcellus drilling rig offers on going views of local wild life. On this morning, turkeys.

The moon one evening passing behind a drilling rig gave a interesting view.

3- roughly 30 ft. pieces of drill pipe screwed together equal "a stand". Here, dozen's of stands are "stacked and racked" , ready to drill. You can see the 2 joints making up the stands. That's 8.5 inch pipe.

Thanks guys!
There was a break in the clouds this afternoon after the storm rolled through.
It was nearly a dbl.
Got to use the panoramic setting on the phone camera.

The road is 1218 near Kermit, TX. Right in the corner of Texas and New Mexico. I have to watch for the free roaming cattle while driving. I am working nights so I hear the Yotes howling also.

Gorgeous. Nice pics guys. Missed some on this thread. The turkeys really display a beautiful place to pull into work. I loved the setting.
