To tell ya about it.. 60-70 yards directly behind them i originally had a clamp on stand in a tree bout 35 feet up and saw tons of deer and 1 monster buck. Guessing he was at least a 170. Too far at 55yds so i passed on him 3x during the 09-10 season. During the 10-11 season, everyone knows how shitty the weather was and the rut wasnt anything to brag about, so the buck activity was mostly during the night.. So last year I put another stand up in the area where the deer were travel very regularly, and placed 7 cams in and around that area to catch as much activity as possible.. So im hoping to see some of the bucks that usually skirt bait sites and mineral blocks. They say will be a early rut and i've been reading and i think it will be a rough winter, so lets all hope the temps are in the 30-40 temp range come October. Cant wait!!!
