Congrats on the doe! What do you think happened on the first shot? We’ve all been there whether we admit it or not….

I just plainly missed. I knew it when the crossbow went off as I was off the deer. I was shooting behind the tree so I had to stand and lean back from the tree so the bow would clear. Shooting at a steep angle, but the deer was only 10 yards away. Not sure why I moved, but it did and it was too late to stop the motion of shooting. Like you said it happens.
