At 4:50 four does and a small buck stepped out of the woods 300 yards away and fed along the treeline. I had to laugh realizing these were the same five I seen the night before in the other field😂 5:10 deer start pouring into the field on my north side just twenty yards from me. Ten does and two young bucks. They trot out 160yards in front of me and start feeding on the wheat. A few minutes later I notice some deer in the field to the NE. Looking through my binos I can see they are the bucks Tony seen last night. Shooting light fading as I range them at 330 yards. They are feeding towards the deer in front of me. I happen to see on my right a dozen or so does standing almost down wind of me staring at my blind. They wind me and jump across fence. I put my focus back on the bucks that are closer now. Two nice heavy 8 pointer's are the good ones. Older deer no doubt, good ones! Now they are 230 yards. I cocked the hammer and put one of the big ones in the scope. I just couldn't get steady. My gun resting on tripod shooting sticks but my cross hairs moving all over the kill area. I decocked moved everything around and tried again with the same results. Just couldn't get steady to make the shot I wanted. Now it's about dark. I packed it in and came home with a awesome memory of the hunt. He was a beautiful buck but I didn't need to kill him that bad that way. I glad I made the choice not to Hale Mary one at him. No regrets here! And I dont have to pay Seth any money 😁😂🦌
