Anyone have any experience with these boots?
Ditching the Muck boots and going with something warmer and hopefully better quality. Muck has lost me as a customer since I’ve had my second pair come apart.

I think lacrosse bought out muck boots. Lacrosse you to lose the soles on them. Now mucks did for a couple years after buying them out. I currently have 5 pair between me and the boys w no problems. We use them trust me. No rubber boot is warm in stupid cold weather. You might want a snow pak boot unless you’re looking for wet wear.

We wear the wetlands which is 5mm. I’ve bought Roger’s article that are 7mm for less than a 100$.

I’ve used the Lacrosse boots and would get about 3-4 seasons out of them. I wore them for deer drives and kicking brush during rabbit season. I also bought a couple pairs of Rocky boots when in Nelsonville. Very good boots….i got a pair that had a side zipper and used them when going into manholes when I worked for the phone company….very easy on/off. Zippers were good as I never got any water in them while working for hours in water/mud that was calf deep.

Never owned any Muck products. I hear they have knock offs at Costco/Sams for $40. My best boots for sitting are Lacrosse Ice Man series. Rated at -100 or something like that. I have 2 pairs still holding up after almost 40 years. Wore both this deer season.

First pair of Mucks lasted 10 years, that’s deer and rabbit hunting. If you remember I hit rabbit season a lot back in the day.
Second pair I bought the year we moved down here. Wore them roughly 15-20 days deer hunting a season until last year when they started coming apart like the first pair.
I have a third pair that have been worn roughly 30 days alternating between the other pair. They’re still holding up.
I’m pretty much stand deer hunting anymore. So warmth and comfort is the flavor of the day.
 
Second year on the Lacrosse 1000g boots, anything higher in g's and they get too warm for me. I've rotated between Itasca, Muck, and Lacrosse and always seem to return to Lacrosse. When they wear out for me it's usually where the toes flex.

Muck was bought by Rocky. There are few boots I hate more than Rocky. In the late 80s and 90s, they were awesome, and they were made in Nelsonville. Nothing is made there now but money on junk products. The issue w rubber boots now is that they are made w a mix of rubber and plastic. It becomes brittle and busts apart. I have one pair of all rubber boots left that are great. Can’t remember the name but I think Rocky bought that company too and has likely turned them into garbage.
J- do a search for “all rubber” boot and see what you find. Surely someone is still making good boots from appropriate material.

Not yet, but the toe catches things and trips me up. Old guys and trips are not a good thing……

Mason was wearing my boots last night because of the pile of boots he has, none of them keep his feet warm. I’ll see what kind they are in a bit. They are actually rubber, warm and apparently tough as nails. I’ve had them several years.

I bought the 1600 g Lacrosse Alpha Burley I believe 4 years ago. They were very warm but almost too warm as my feet often sweat in them. End of year 2 I thought I had a damp foot at the end of deer season but didn’t double check to see if I had a hole or somehow got water in. The third year my first time out hunting I stepped in a deep creek and sure enough I had water in the one boot. After inspection them I was surprised to find it was through the sole where water was coming in, not the sides like I figured. I never pulled anything out of them or felt anything puncture them. My first pair of lacrosse boots I had for many years before these and they had a similar leak up from the bottom, but I had many years in them. I ended up with another pair of Lacrosse 1200 g boots this fall because I found them on sale and still needed waterproof boots. They don’t feel as sturdy and I’m thinking they won’t last long due to the softness of the soles.

I've had great performance out of Cabelas instinct boots. I've had my old pair probably 6-7yrs, no issues. My kid wears them more than me so I ordered a new pair, arrived today. They're on sale right now too. Order one size up for wool socks.

Have had several pairs of the alphaburly. Love the comfort they provide and the fact they keep your feet warm. They just do not last if you put some miles on them. You might get a season out of them. I have been using the tideWe boots for the past season and a half and they’re still holding up. I can drop a link if you’d like
