Rained pretty much all day then wet snow to finish off. Had a young 6 point and some dies am- of course only one in range was the 6. Saw quite a few in rhe pm- several tiny deer within range. Had a nice buck right at 5 but was running from neighboring property, didnt feel right so i held off
Back to work so good luck everyone!

Didn"t quite realize that we recieved so much rain yesterday until I tried to hike home the way I normally do, down through the main creek bottom.

Now I know why I didn't see any deer last evening., the creek was way up by feet and raging too, so, I had to find an alternative path to hike back home, which sucked!

I hunted all day yesterday at the South main creek shelf where there is a small, but thick wooded area, expecting deer to come out of there from down off the North Ridge and pop out right in front of me,

Well, that didn't happen and I found out why the hard way.

This morning, the main creek is still up, but not as bad and going down by the hour.

I'm hunting the same area as yesterday, back in the ground blind again for the entire day and giving it another shot.

Snowing heavy now & then so far. Only one shot heard just moments ago and no deer movement seen by me yet.

I wish to tag out today, so most anything with antlers within range is going down!

Good luck to anyone huntin today!

Probably gonna charge them for 10 then head home because of all this snow. I’m gonna try and set up a blind that my daughter and I can sit in this evening.

That was my plan and they sent us out! So I guess I'll sit in. The truck all day. Can't see marks to dig ditch.

Two does and four fawns made their way to me this morning. The lead doe hit my ground scent before I could get fully into position, and she got a little squirrelly. Thankfully I was able to swing around the tree onto the next adult doe. Dropped her right in her tracks with a heart shot. Very thankful for this big girl taking a ride home with Warner and me in the truck.
