I have horrible tinnitus as well. Combine that with damn near every one of my treestands being within 3/4 mile of I-75, and I can rarely hear deer from a distance

Same here with the tinnitus and 1/4 from rte 30 and tons of truck traffic using Jake brakes.... Rely more on vision than sounds....
I use face paint during early season. Late season I wear one of those neck gator things that comes up over my face and has a mesh square so I can breathe through it, but I pull it down before I shoot.

I am in the same boat. Unless I absolutely have to I seldom wear more that a baseball hat, it has to be really cold for me to sacrifice what little hearing I have left by wearing a stocking cap.
Just must humble opinion but those that don't cover their face are doing themselves a disservice. Even being mostly blind in one eye I can still pick out a hunter's bare face 150 yards away in the woods, stands out like a beacon.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here with tinnitus. There's days the ringing literally drives me nuts.
Yep, I have too sleep with the ceiling fan on for the white noise too drown out the ringing.... Works most nights....

So do I. I don't usually use anything to cover my face, and anything on my ears fuggs me up.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!! My lady's sons got me an under armor hoodie for xmas. Last couple times it was cold enough to pull the hood over my head, I was thinking to myself "I am the grim reaper of deerz, you fuggars should just fall down, cause if I see you, its too late, your already dead" lmao Its worked twice so far. lol

I own two scentlok mask. One is thick for cold weather and one is light. I like them because they have netting over the ears so you can easily still hear.
