Diablo 2017 sheds

What?! That's stupid...do you have to pay to pick mushrooms as well?

No. Not that bad. If it is a shed antler then you are free to pick it up. If it is attached to the skull then you have to call and pay.

You have to remember that we are one of the few states that still doesn't have Sunday Hunting. We just got approved to use semi-automatic rifles in hunting seasons.

I do understand what Taylor is saying. It was a few day process to get a tag and was stressful on me. When he did show up, it seemed to be an inconvenience to him. Nice guy and all, just seemed like he didn't have time to deal with it. Which I understand, it'd be nice if someone besides the GW could write a tag for a dead head. Like park rangers or sheriff. Both? Something needs to change with that system...

Are you allowed to pick up dead heads in Ohio? The reason I ask is because in PA if you pick up a dead head then you have to call it in and then pay $10 per point.

Yes but you must call the local gw first. And I believe you have to leave the head where it lays. Some of these spots I go in I could only imagine how bad he would cuss me on the way too it. Hahaha

I have always just taken several pics as I find them showing the scene and then taken them with me. A phone call to the game warden, a tag in the mail and picture evidence retained has always been enough. My experience with this approach in 2 counties has been easy.

Just passing along.

I got a tag for one once. Felt like I was wasting the WO's time. It was a dink which was likely hit by a car. I just wanted to do it legit.

That's pathetic!!! Sounds like a state desperate for funds and looking for anyway to make money TOO me!

They feel it's important enough to mandate a tag for them you would think by now there would be a way to call in a dead-head with Ohio DNR. Sure it sounds a little silly but then again we are calling in deer we are killing and writing a number on a tag, sometimes a hand written tag to begin with.
