Fun to shoot - kinda heavy - use stick mag
Nice! I looked it up and the Stevens name means it was made between 1938 and 1950 Choke most likely is full.

Glenfield was Marlin’s budget line. Savage had Stevens, Springfield, and Fox off the top of my head. Savage also imported Anschutz and Valmets. Is that when Glenfield showed up, Sam? They were Stevens/Glenfield for a while, weren’t they?
Gotcha...Glenfield was Marlin’s budget line. Savage had Stevens, Springfield, and Fox off the top of my head. Savage also imported Anschutz and Valmets.
She checked it out and we agreed on taking it home for the girls. This is a mean little youth turkey setup, but it'll be hell on squirrels and rabbits as well. I imagine with steel shot, we could kill some migratory birds too. I had a spare sling and butt pad, the sight came on it. The box was shot at 20 yards with a lead high brass 2.5" 1/2oz. 7 1/2 shot. It rolled the box over and clearly patterned well enough to kill a tree rat. I can see old dad carrying this on a few hunts himself.
