    Opinions? Replaceable blade knives.

If you can find a Gamekeeper Switchback, thats the one id recommend as it has a built in extra blade holder so you don't have to have loose blades running around in a pack

    Opinions? Replaceable blade knives.

If you get one, get the heavy duty blades for them. The standard blades will bend backwards on you if hit something hard at the wrong angle. The heavier blades will just snap which is more preferable than bending. If you use a smooth steel on the blades you can extend the life of the blades,

Kentucky brain trust is banning feral swine hunting

Pretty much any group of wild hogs you find have been intentionally released. Sure there are hogs that have escaped, I've gotten a call or two about a random hog running around, but you gotta have a pair to make babies. I would assume this ban would be primarily to stop people from turning em...

    Head phones/Ear Buds

I love my Shokz headphones. I got turned onto them when one Doc Thompson got killed by an Amtrak train while jogging with regular headphones on. Only real drawback to them is unless you have a really big head or a write shaped one, you cant lay on a pillow with them as they will push out. A...

    Clinton county giant?

Might get better money leasing your land for hunting rights. Loan officer won't likely approve a loan on property we with am inflated ask price because it has big deer on it

    Caliber Selection for Coyotes

Coyotes aren't elephants. Anything in center-fire till work for the most part . A 17 hmr does the job at short range. Iim not fussed if they run off, but if you want to be sure at least a 223. Personally I'd just use whatever deer rifle you already have. I wouldn't spend a dime on a coyote gun...

Once in a lifetime Cicada event

We were at Cades Cove back during the last 17 yr hatch, walked up accidentally on a few 300#+ bears waddling around. Lot of bear scat near trails of nothing but cicada husks

Once in a lifetime Cicada event

Fish don't want to eat ze bugs either. Fun fact if you catch a cicada and throw it at someone, they fly straight for a good 20 yards or so

    Pines falling SE Ohio

Come to think of it, I don't think I've noticed the smell from that plant as I go into Chillicothe in a while now

    Pines falling SE Ohio

I'm in Gallia and haven't really seen much of that. A few random trees but nothing systemic. Not really been that soft here though

    Fishers making a comeback

Or when people start paying us to do it. I still trap for some of my friends but most of my fur season trapping these days is for people that opened their wallets.

    Safety harnesses and other safety

You guys that use hang ons might want look at using the half line mobile safety system . It gives you a way to the ground in case you fall off your stand and can't climb back on or if you had a kick out on your ladder or sticks

    Coyotes and Southern Ohio Deer

Two of the main things I tell guys how to tell if it's a coyote track vs a domestic dog: One is to look at the middle two toenails of the track, on a coyote they will almost be touching. Dog track, they will be well separated and pointing away from each other. The second is that a coyote track...

    Friggin Ticks!

Been finding ticks since January. Couldn't get to sleep last night because I found 3 of the pinhead sized ticks on me when I went to bed and was itchy and paranoid the rest of the night.

What league is that? It certainly isn't Little League because they don't pay any umpires.

    Black coyote?

Unfortunately they aren't worth anything in the fur market, even in good years. They do good in the novelty market though

    Black coyote?

Wouldnt quite say that they are rare. Just not common here. The farther south you go and closer to the coast, black coyotes are more common.
