I had the pleasure of assisting 2 of my troops in the process of getting their commission and attended both of them. One as a maintenance officer and one is in pilot training in Laughlin AFB.... Both have good common sense and feel will be a positive addition to their military units.....
But, I have come across some real winners who should of never been allowed into the maintenance field and did more to stop maintenance then to help it thru the process....
My last deployment we had a fresh Lt who's first deployment he was stuck with us as more of a spy to his commanders then an asset for us... It took him about a week to figure out we were there to get the job done and not fugg anything up in the process within the parameters of their rules..... We got along well and had him cussing like a maintenance guy by the time we left lol..... I was older hen his parents but younger then his grandparents lmao.... He liked to point that out hahaha
