Well most pistols are loud so yes "aloud"....
But the better option would be to check out the ODNR site for the hunting regs to learn the specifics rather than an online forum with a bunch of smart@$ses.
I used to hunt with a super red hawk .44 magnum. Killed a hand full of deer with it when I hunted with it. Off a bench I could put 6 shells in a 3" group at 100 yards. Hornady 240 xtps grouped best out of it. It was nice going hands free into the woods with a climber on your back. Even better when dragging deer out. As far as optics a fixed 2x leupold id more than enough. Any more magnification and you could see your heart beat.
Mine is just a taurus raging bull but it holds a hell of a group out at 100 yards with barnes bullets off a rest. i love hunting with it and have taken quite a few deer here in PA with it.
