Went to try my 7 year olds new crossbow this evening. Got the truck stuck in the mud, took 3 hours to get it out. Worst hunting trip in my 10 years of hunting.

Wow, I get something stuck at least 2 or 3 times a month around the farm lol. The best is when I get my buddies truck stuck tying to get mine unstuck

You need more friends with tractors!

I said the exact same thing when I realized it was stuck! I was surprised it actually came out. I had to jack the back end up and then pull it forward of the jack and out of the ruts. I'd never had to do that before. It was quite a mess.

Unfortunately, it got stuck about 60 yards from my treestand. I'm sure deer will stay clear of that spot after that mayhem.

Ridiculous.

Stuck vehicle will ruin a hunt every time, especially right next to the stand!

To y'all hearing voices telling you to go hunt: don't let anyone tell you that hearing voices is bad. They're fine as long as they keep giving you good advice!

LOL, don't let it eat at you. Everyone who owns a 4x4 or hunts long enough will do it. Being stranded in the middle of nowhere is not fun without a winch. I grew up as a mud bug and agree that nothing pisses of ya off more then getting stuck axle deep when not expecting it. Have a beer and a Happy New Year:smiley_cheers:

I always like it when you stop and can't get moving after that...drove to that spot in 2wd, stopped for a minute or two and it's free wheeling! I've done that more than once.

You notice I put I get "something stuck" tractors are included ;). The property is all sand (if you find a rock someone put it there lol) and there is no bottom to it when it gets just the right amount of rain lol. It's a guessing game when it's safe to go down a lane or field. Some lady about 25 years ago got a horse stuck in a lane, we had to use a backhoe to get it out. That was a big mess lol

Yes Sir.... What sucks is the one she saw has been coming in first. The other 2 bucks were probably close by and she never got to see them. Its getting cold and hopefully that will help.
