Pretty common that they charge with anything they possibly can. Like you said then it will get plea bargained down. The attorney's make out nicely thru that whole process.

Should have been worse, but social media ruined their personal credibility at least. They'll never be trusted by any man with a lick of sense. That would suck having strangers call you a piece of shit every day.
