The wife and I just got in from a 13 day, 3,975 mile trip that went like this. Ohio to Hilton Head Island, Hilton Head Island to Acadia NP in Maine, Acadia to home through New York's Adirondack Park and much of Pennsylvania. In 13 days we saw 11 deer, no moose, no elk (in PA), no bears. Nine of the 11 deer were seen within Ohio. We went by countless lush green fields in PA and New York and saw one deer in each state. Looks like Ohio deer populations are pretty good compared to states to the east at least.
