Honey suckle destruction

Back in 2020 I started to cut back the honey suckle, but I didn't spray it so it came right back. Yesterday I talked with the other 2 homeowners back here in the woods and we all agreed to do our part. So I cracked open some old beers and started getting after it. Today I will hopefully get the driveway area finished up. I will try and keep posting updates in hopes that I don't get side tracked and stop. This is something that has bothered me for a long time that is just a big project to basically clear 18 acres of woods.

Use this stuff if the gly doesn't work well enough. Works great for gravel driveways, along fences etc, or anywhere you want bare ground for a year. You just have to be very selective if you broadcast spray it to make sure there aren't any desirable tree or bush roots around as it has a soil activity also. I used it for hack and squirt, one swipe with a machete, squirt a tiny bit in the cut and move on.

The little milwaukee chain saw I bought today is the cats ass so far. I will be able to give a better review in a couple of weeks but it really helped speed up the process today. I had sticker shock at $250 for tool only. Wife kinda tried to say I didn't need it. But after an hour of use she said we needed 2! Lol

I bought the Stihl version of that last year. and it came with a soft case and some bar oil. Only paid $179 for it, too. Totally the cats' ass. Have already used it more than I ever thought. I would. Pretty handy when you have big limbs to trim while hanging on the side of tree or in a stand.

That it is. Perhaps should have issued a heftier warning about how potent it is. It's not something you say "I'm going to mix it hot" and double up the mix. Mix it as directed, use a marker dye, and be VERY selective. The half life in the soil is 17 months. I read that the EPA did a study and found 30% yield loss in a potato field due to wind drift and the herbicide had "undetectable levels in laboratory testing"
