So I posted the right split brow buck and he isn't going to make the cut this year. Until this year I have NEVER gotten a picture of a buck with a split brow tine (let alone double splits) in the last 4 years of running a camera. I have run cameras on 6-8 properties and they are spread out although in the same two counties. They cover roughly 15 miles of spread from the farthest two properties apart. I had accepted the fact we just plain don't have them around here. This year however, things have changed. Out of the blue, I have two different bucks with split brow tines.
The buck I am about to post is pretty cool in my opinion. Sadly, I am just not sure he is going to make the grade this year either. Despite his "cool" factor, I really think he could be amazing in another year or two. I will try to dig up pictures of him from last year. I want to say he is 3.5yr old this year. If so, last year he was very impressive as a 2.5yr old. I suppose he could just be a short tined 4.5yr old this year, but I think this might be a stretch.
The question comes again: Where do you think he ends up age wise and score? Shooter or not, this can be a fun way to get our heads into the deer season mindset (as if we don't think about it all year anyway lol).
Below are pictures I believe are the same deer last season and pictures from early-mid June.
