Congrats to her. We’ve had 3 does double lunged with those Spitfire Maxxs this year. One gave off great blood, one virtually zero blood and the other gave off so little had to resume search in the morning. May be just something specific about those situations but so far I’d say we had better luck with the spitfire 1.5 inch cut. I’m hoping there’s a 200 inch buck out there today that will let me keep my research going on this.

Congrats to both of you, the deer hunting and killing is one thing. But those memories made are what it’s all about.

Ok let’s play a game: you’re in the stand and everything feels like a perfect setup. After daylight has broke, a guy walks in w stand and bow at 7:15. He parks where my truck is. So give me an answer why would a jack wagon do this. Bonus clue, he came almost to dj yesterday evening about an hour before dark. Ready ……go!
On stand after and egg and cheese sandwich with Tobasco and 2 cups off coffee. Intestinal Olympics otta start any tIme. First event probably high speed rectal bobsled followed by angry duck walk back to the cabin.

I say it every year I hate hunting the rut, I'd much rather hunt late season. Not sure why I'm wasting my time lol. The amount of corn on around the spots I wanna spend some time have really got it screwed up.
Two live decoys out front. Brows'n & bedded. A spike is in the midst too.

He’s an asshole! People are real bad about not passing a spot that already has a truck. I’ve had it happen deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting. Pheasant hunters appear to be the worst. There is one guy that has done it to me 4/5 times now. I think it’s how he scouts lol

Thanks for the gouge, looking at the lungs(showing Olivia)the Maxx was open and all three blades were open and stayed open throughout the the entire path Ribs to Ribs.... tuff critters. Never had go that far or on their feet that long with those Maxx's...
Both my does from last week went down within 50-60yds, double lunged both with Maxx's. Much better blood on them as well. Dint hit the heart with either.....
Spike came through at 8:15, 2 year old 8 at 8:20. First activity of the day. Gonna spend rest of hunt looking up squirrel poison for sale.

Well I’m starting to think this area took a big hit to ehd. Ran into a NR yesterday at 2 at the parking lot. He said they used to kill hammers in here but last year they found plenty dead deer in the creek. Said he didn’t kill last year and he’s back so

In the meantime, hunter texted me from Illinois and said his buddy w him just stuck a hammer. Quartering too, put in the pocket, deer walked off slow and bedded down 40 yards away where he could barely see him. Tried to get up but couldn’t, later stood up twice and laid back down. Tail was twitching as he walked to where he’s bedded. Sound familiar?
