Non-resident PA is $102 which includes your buck tag, fall turkey tag, and spring turkey tag. Doe tags for NR are $27. Archery stamp is also $27.
Yeah, dollar for dollar it’s cheaper to hunt PA, unfortunately, the quality isn’t quite there yet. They’re getting there though. Once they do what’s the prices going too do? Usually it’ll rise...

J you can kill 2 bucks and 4 does in NC before you have to start buying bonus doe tags. Fill the freezer...can't eat the antlers. ;)

I haven’t hunted PA in years, but I have friends who still do. They pull a couple of good ones out of the woods every year. Quality has definitely gotten better.

Friends mine live down there, it take 3 adult doe's to equal one of Ohio's lb wise. He sent me a picture of this giant buck, I thought damn I'm going hunting there lol but he said if that rack was on our deer it'd be a 110-120" deer. Looks huge with there tiny body's

That's pretty accurate...not sure Ohio adult does average 300 lbs, but the average nanny in NC is around 110-120 lbs. At least where I hunt. The bucks where i hunt get around 175. Of course there are spots where they get bigger. I was just giving J crap.

I paid $150 on the nose for my 3 day rifle hunt in Virginia last week. That included 3 day NR license, National Forest Permit, and Deer/Turkey tag. You can kill 2 bucks, 3 does, and I believe it was 2 turkeys. Not too bad. Also, my turkey stamp is good for spring gobbler in 2020, so I may need to go back east this spring.

For those residents that are worried about rising prices, you can always buy a multi year license. Heck, the 10 year license is the cost of a 1 year NR in any other state. After this season, I am thinking that I might just do that so I don't have to worry about increases any more. Even the 5 year is probably worth it.

Just for comparison if in two week's you want to come and gun hunt in Jersey for the week long buck week you are going to pay a flat $135.50 for a non-resident license and can shoot " 2 buck's "..... If I want to come hunt in Ohio next week I have to pay $180.96 for the non-resident license and an additional $76.96 for a deer tag... That's a total of $256.92... That's a difference of $121.42...And I can only shoot one buck (which is good)…. Hmmmm…. So who's getting the short end of the stick???? Oh and I forgot... If you come hunt in Jersey for that week long season you can purchase a bear tag for a whopping $2.00 and maybe shoot a world class bear... The state should be charging non-residents at least $150.00 for the bear tag.... No where in the good ole USA can you hunt GIANT BEARS for $2.00.....

I agree with the sentiment but I’m not sure that NJ and OH have comparable whitetail resources.

I agree, however, someone who is a resident and hunts all of the seasons (bow, extended bow, muzzleloader, doe days, buck week, winter bow, Spring turkey, fall turkey, crabbing, fishing, clamming, trout stamp, pheasant/quail stamp gets nickel and dimed to death! Don’t even get me started on property taxes! I’m working on getting a building permit for my 30x50 garage....$1,130 for inspections, adds in the paper (you have to tell your neighbors you are building) building variance and associated fees. You need to talk to your buddy Murphy to see if he can give us any relief!😂

I would have to agree on the quality of deer as Ohio always produces some slammer's... But I have to admit this year I've seen some 160+ inch deer harvested in Jersey, so they are here... So yes …. Given the choice I'd rather hunt Ohio for deer... Bear's on the other hand you can't beat the enormous size of our bruins... Soon with the ban on state lands there will be a 1000 lber shot.... Ad for a freaking $2.00 tag....

I have mixed feelings that several have hit people have it on, I wish the state would crack down on outfitters or do anyway with outfitters in Ohio altogether (we are not a Western state or a Western Mid West state, we have like the 10th largest population in the United States). I does get annoying to drive thru woodbury and seen 5 to 1 non resident vehicles but I dont blame them and did the same when I lived in the South. Since we are a top 5 big buck state I think our non resident prices should reflect that and be comparable to Iowa and Illinois. But by no means do i resent or dislike out of state guys.

MY BUDDY MURPHY?????? Denture Man is no buddy of mine... But hey New Jersey has always sucked big time..... As long as I remember living in Jersey is nothing but jumping through hoops to survive.... Got a guy coming to inspect my home next week for property tax values... Guess they want to raise everyones taxes AGAIN.... Believe me I look every day at real estate in several states.... Wifes been checking our Virginia since every property we find in Ohio the mineral rights don't transfer over.... As for the cost of hunting license's with all the extra's its insane.... Sorry but hunting has become BIG BUSINESS.... All about money, money with nothing in return... Its hunting season and a lot of state ranges are CLOSED for repairs.... WTF.... Where were they all summer... Bet it's Denture Man busting ball's..... Building Permits.... I don't even want to go there.... GOOD LUCK.... I was once told by a town building inspector, that if I replace a rotted board on my deck, I really shoud get a building permit.... Yeh Ok....

I agree with paying a little more than normal as a non-resident.... As I said earlier I spent $800.00 in Illnois and didn't even go... Thanks for not disliking us out of state guys... I've said it before and I'll say it again: Any member on TOO wants to come bear hunting I'll leave the light on for ya with the welcome mat out.... I'll show you area's that have a very good bear population's and direct you to food and lodging.... Basically do a lot of the leg work for you but you will have to put boots on the ground and scout the area I point you to... Bear season in 2 week's anyone coming????

How about this. Let's keep the NR fees the same but implement a trophy fee. Say $5 an inch. If that 170 inch buck is worth $850 to them then party on. A bargain considering what outfitters charge. And a hell of a deal considering the state has set the restitution value of any deer over 125 inches at $120 an inch.

Where coonskinners green smiley when I need it.
