I have had a 400 Foreman, 400 Rancher, and 450 Kodiak. All have been adequate for plowing, hauling deer out, and basic needs. Our lawn roller is massive. My Kodiak will pull it but I need to let a bunch of water out. I've been pulling it with our Kubota RTV. At 2000# it leaves tire tracks and just isn't real maneuverable. I've always said a 400-500cc quad would be enough. I used a buddies 700 Grizzly the other day and didn't let any water out. I would have if the quad was struggling, but it really didn't. So. . . .tomorrow I'm going to look at (and likely purchase) a 2008 Grizzly with low hours and miles.
Honestly not sure there is a ton of difference. Features are very similar to our Kodiak. Grizzly might be physically larger. Displacement is obviously larger. I'm curious how much of the power difference is the fuel injection? Is it the EFI or the displacement that creates the power more noticeable? I don't know. I'll keep you all posted if I end up with it on my trailer. I'll have a low hour/mile Kodiak for sale if I do.
