Oh, having faith in man kind is still vaild. We experienced an episode last Friday evening. The wife, son, and daughter accompanied me to my camp this weekend to watch me mow grass and keep me company for the weekend. Upon arriving into town that evening I always stop at the local dive gas station to get my weekend case of beer and other needed grocery supplies. At the register the guy in front of us accidently dropped a $ 20.00 bill on the ground when he pulled his chain linked wallet out of his back pocket (motor cycle guy, leather chaps, tats, scruffy appearance). My wife and I at almost the same moment (she was slightly quicker than I) said "Sir, you have dropped your money". He abruptly turned around, picked it up, and thanked us. He gave my wife a big hug and offered to buy our groceries. We gave our regrets. He then offered us his $ 20.00 bill that he had dropped. We gave our regrets. He then offered to buy my kids ice cream treats; though I already had done so. "Motorcycle man" (as my 3 year old son called him) said we've restored his faith in man kind and there is Hope. We told him it was our pleasure in helping him, to have a nice evening, and to "Pass it On".
