That's weird. Good job on you for not giving up on looking.

Whatcha doing in my neighborhood? Want to meet for lunch? I'll be over that way myself.
I'm over here for work. We have techs at the Walmart distribution center as well as the Honda plant and the ace warehouse. I'm just making my rounds of those three. It looks like I'll be in Marysville tomorrow but if I make it back down this way I'd definitely meet up for lunch.

You said the wad had hair on it? No sure how that can happen.

The bullet had to hit something before hitting the deer causing it to break up. It would not have to be anything big to cause that. I have seen that before. The sabot reaching the deer is very unusual and I have no way of explaining that as I have never seen that. Even a tight fit sabot to the bullet isn't going to stay on there at 1700 FPS +. How far away was the deer when you shot it?

jlane, bore butter in a barrel shooting sabots is not recommended, even by the makers of the stuff. The friction between the sabot and barrel is what provides the accuracy with the rifling. Smooth or loose fits are not your friend in a MZ.

Good too hear....

Glad your neighbor helped out also... Good to know he was a stand up guy....

Yea I was glad to finally meet him. He owns the property back there but lives up around Rogers somewhere so he drove about 30 minutes down there. I was definitely grateful. He showed me pictures of 3 monsters him and his sons have taken with bows over the years. all 3 over 170 so it was definitely a cool experience.

Any time, I did lunch at "the rusty keg" today with my old man and wife. That place has some damn good eats. Good selection of craft beers also.

Dang it. No call or text either! We try to go there at least a few times a year. Good eats and not too hateful on the wallet.
