I'd be more inclined to stomp waffle than wear anything for 3 days.....no fuggin way. Even Lt. Dan knows better:

"There is one item of G.I. gear that can be the difference between a live grunt and a dead grunt. Socks, cushion, sole, O.D. green. Try and keep your feet dry when we're out humpin'. I want you boys to remember to change your socks wherever we stop. The Mekong will eat a grunt's feet right off his legs."

Yup, true story here gents. I told Jesse it would start some shit when I posted about it. If you don’t know, you just don’t get it. This stuff is for real! I just wanted to test the limits in a controlled way. At any time I could’ve swapped socks.

It's true. I'm a Smart Wool believer. Only garment that'll tolerate 3 days in those conditions. Even on a troll's foot!

Same here. I bought a pair for Arizona when he mentioned them before. I put them to the test for three days in KY turkey hunting. After three days they seemed used but not unclean. Since I don't have troll feet I could have probably gotten 5-6 days out of them.

Please tell us that you don’t have wool underwear [emoji1787]

We know you have that cod fetish!

Amazing how this thread has turned from disgusting, to guys that know... It’s $20 for a pair of socks (a case of beer) that are worth every penny. Even if you just bought a pair a year, you’d be money ahead.
