It turned into a pleasant evening around here after an afternoon of repetitive downpours. After dinner, I grabbed the bow and a beer so I could enjoy the evening. I've been shooting blank bale a good bit to work on a few kinks in my form. Tonight I shot at 10' with eyes closed trying to "feel" out what my issue was. Turns out the more open I get with my bow hand, the more I grasp at the bow upon release. Took about a dozen reps to find a happy medium, but I got a feel for the proper adjustment. Thankfully. Some nights I feel like Tiger trying to get the swing back! I need to reposition my peep still and am due for an arrow building session. Working in the garage all day tomorrow to get ready for our appraisal on Monday. A clean workbench will mean I can run some arrows through the assembly line!

Who else is out there flinging arrows or tinkering with stuff in the shop?

I was last week. Figures, I work on bows for everyone else: setting up, tuning, etc... And I have been fighting my own bow for a month now. Lol. Finally got it to where I want it after doing all kinds of stuff, I love the pain in the ass bow but still. Got it back to almost perfect at 60 yards. Working today but, I'll be back at shooting and tuning a couple more bows tomorrow.

Hats off to you guys that continue to try and perfect this...from the outside looking in, you guys continue to make me not want to do it. Every time I start thinking about getting a bow again, one of these threads pop up. Keep posting fellas, saving me money!

I've started shooting and redoing my little range in the yard. My daughter wants to start shooting the crossbow so I'm gonna get it out this weekend and dial it back in because I decided to mess with it last year at the end of season and had it all messed up. Her and my wife we're shooting it pretty good and I was 8 inch's right every shot. By the time I was done I was about to throw it into the trees. Thinking maybe a new scope but not sure.

I ended up getting a new Morrell outdoor range bag target for Father's Day but haven't built a stand for it yet. My hopes are to get it done this week so I can start spending time out there. Fingers crossed having it out there all the time will help inspire the two kids to head out and fling a couple arrows now and then.

I have been shooting roughly 2 dozen arrows almost every night. Slowly working back to the 60 yard mark. The new carbon stealth is a dream to shoot. Especially coming from an Omen Pro that was not too forgiving with the brace height and a 70lb pull. Broke a few nocks at 40 yards over the weekend.

Those XT's are great bows... No doubt about it!

I've been wanting to put my hands on a new Hoyt redwrx carbon rx-1 but Fin Feather Fur in Milan still hasn't gotten any in stock. Probably a good thing. [emoji23]
