So I calls the VA this morning when they opened to get the results on an X-ray I went a got a week ago...yup, nothing on record and they want me to go take another one. An hour drive, one way...fuck it, I’ll live in pain. Not worth the bullshit to use the “benefit”.

That’s not right. I hear so many stories like this. It’s as if they want to make it difficult on purpose, to discourage vets from using it. All vets should be treated like royalty when we walk through those doors. I’m so tired of hearing VA benefits, social security etc. being akin to a government handout, or welfare. We EARNED our veterans benefits and pay into social security..it’s not a f’ing gift!😡

The VA is hit or miss in my opinion. I’ve had good and bad experiences there, but most of the bad experiences have been their personnel, not care. I was hospitalized for a week two years back, no issues, had surgery there with minor personnel issues. I’ve been seen at a few hospitals in a few states and Cleveland so far is the best.
