Whelp! I just finished a big project for me anyway. Laid 3/4” hardwood in our master bedroom and into our walk in closet. Tied it into the threshold at our bedroom doorway the professionals stopped at. I’m very happy how it turned out regardless how my back and knees are feeling right now. Lol
I jumped in and tore out our old carpet and padding last week after Tam and I moved all of our furniture out. Then I removed tacking strips and all staples and went through a pound and then some deck screws securing the subfloor to joists. I went ahead a bought a pneumatic Bostitch floor nailer since I foresee me using it in other bedrooms later. Lol
Started laying floor on Monday morning and finished today after adding preprinted toe trim I did this morning.
I painted at the walls and trim last week prior after tearing up carpet.
Glad I’m done so I can get some shed hunting walking in from here on out till greenup! Lol

BTW, we got this hardwood flooring for $2.98/sq ft. It was discontinued.
Tammy just came across our invoice today of that hardwood and I swore it was $2.98/sq ft but she was right and it was $3.98 so my bad. Still a great deal nonetheless IMO.

Im always wondering how long a construction product used will last . That floor is killer. Should last the lifetime of the house maybe a refinish years and years down the line. Nice job on the install!Yes, very well actuallyHouse was built in 2005.
Looks amazing Ric. A week in your hands and knees doing hardwood. . . .there is a junior high school joke in there somewhere , but I just hope your knees and back don't go on strike after working them so hard. This stuff will test yours joints.
