My buddy had 150 geese coming into his pond all last week. He set up what we thought was a good plan. Seven of us were set up ready to lay the smack down on some honkers. Well you know what is said about beat laid plans. A few flocks went over heading to a cornfield we couldn’t hunt a half mile or so away. Only one one bird was suicidal enough to come in and he didn’t leave. Overall it was a good time and Skye did well in the layout blind with me. No retrieving opportunities though, maybe next time.

Reason number 102,463 why I hate geese. Lol

Been there done that, Ron… don’t feel too bad. Geese always seem to change plans at the worst times like that. Sometimes just a subtle temperature change, or overcast vs sunny conditions, is all it takes to ruin your anticipated “canned hunt.” So when it DOES all work out, that’s why I thoroughly enjoy shooting them all right in the face. Lol
