The other side of the box blind is a couple dozen fruit trees we planted. Hoping we can get a few to survive and produce by the time the grandkids start hunting. Or when I’m old and feeble.Boy you got the farm setup! Looks like a great hunt buddy!

Thanks. I have used stark bros and Willis orchard.
Yes, I used them for trees on my Athens property that I walked away from. I imagine they started producing the following year. They are out of Georgia and have a great selection.Ill check out Willis - you like them??
A "project" buck is one we are trying to let get some age on him. One with good genetics. I have a buddy who won't hunt with me in Ohio anymore (by his choice) because he can't help himself and shot project bucks 3 years in a row...all in the 120ish range. I really enjoy "raising" them and seeing the difference in their bodies and antlers each year. Many times it's ones you don't expect that make the biggest jumps and the most promising ones that come back disappointing. All part of the game. My season is 365 days per year, not just during the harvest season. There hasn't been a day since Thanksgiving 1981 that I haven't put serious thought into deer.Spencie, what exactly does "project buck" mean? There ain't no project about those, they're sho nuff shooters. As I type, it dawns on me that "project" may be short for projected shooters?? I read it initially as your "project" is to feed them to make them bigger... I am rambling. I miss deer season. Looks like your are reaping the benefits of years of hard work. Congratulations. Envious for sure.
Makes perfect sense. I'm delirious with deerpression.A "project" buck is one we are trying to let get some age on him. One with good genetics.
