One of the crappy things about trail cams......

.....is sometimes they tell a story you would rather not know.
Like this sequence from this morning.
I was hunting about 150 yards into the timber down this trail.
The buck that crosses at 8:06 is one we call The Angry 8. He has looked exactly the same the past 3 years and just needs killed!
I walk out at 10:21. I am carrying the tree stand because one of the platform cable supports broke just as I was thinking about getting down. The other side held, but a good reminder as to why to wear a safety belt.
Then a buck we call Droopy walks right into where I was hunting at 11:24.
Angry 8 makes another appearance at 11:27, and I show up a minute later on my quad with a replacement stand.
Where were they when I was in the tree??? Damn things.

Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. [emoji23] That sucks man. You just never know when these big deer are going to stroll by this time of year.

I’ve enjoyed my hunting so much more without trail cams! I learned that almost everything about what they capture, I’d rather not know.

That is why I usually don't run trail cameras much during deer season as I don't want to know. At our camp in Ohio is different since I can't hunt it that much. It is nice to know what is happening when I am gone. Those are a couple of really nice bucks you have there.

Yea it is a love hate thing for sure, the only thing worse to me is if I see deer on the Cam in a spot I wasn’t hunting. Sucks when you pick wrong spot to go to.
