I was lucky enough yesterday to run into a couple old Ben Pearson longbows and arrows yesterday in a basement of an older couple while putting in a heat pump system for them. The lady said they were her mothers and fathers bows. Said they shot in a league, I'm guessing early '50's maybe. I questioned her about them, said she thought about putting em on ebay. Long story short she sold em to me when we were done with the install. Thought I'd share and see if anyone here had any insight on them.

Pretty darn cool and heck of a find I'd say! I have no knowledge what they might be worth, but I would imagine they gotta be worth somethin to someone that is into any kind of antic archery stuff.

Hopefully someone will chime in here soon and provide some insight that you're looking for.

Good luck!

nice score. those rather look like wooden bows. are they fiberglass or wood? look like Lemonwood (Degame).

The real value is in the nostalgia. The wouldn’t sell for a high figure, but I’m certain if you were to string them they would shoot as well today as they did in the 60s provided there are no cracks. Once you’ve shot them, why would you ever want to sell them?
Nice find!

I don't want to sell them. Like I told them, I like the stories that come along with stuff like that. I thought the dozen of arrows were neat, with the box and stamps.
