I have no plans of ever becoming an active member. I wasted enough time and energy trying to do what I thought would help the organization. Having said that, the “expo” they have put together over the last few years has become a pretty solid outreach. It’s impressive, really, in comparison to what it was. For several years, one of the board members that I actually have some respect for, harassed me to rejoin. He has finally given up but we remain friends. From the outside looking in, I think they are making positive moves in the right direction.
