New APP from the DOW

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but there is an app available from the division of wildlife. Has all of your tags stored electronically and you can game check from the app. May be too much for some of the conspiracy theorists, but others may find is useful.

Looks pretty legit! I like that they included the time tables (they never match weather apps).

It does not show my spring turkey permit which I did not fill so it is good in the fall as far as I know

Finally downloaded it. Found something I didn't like...my main hunting property is highlighted green and almost looks like its public hunting. I foresee this becoming an issue with trespassers. Not that we don't have that issue every year anyways...but still.

Anyone know how to change the time of harvest? I tagged this doe in and it stamped the time I tagged her as the time of harvest. That isn't accurate, it was over an hour later when I tagged her.

It also automatically tags the county you are currently in. So don't drag the deer back home and tag it. It could put you over the county limit. Just an FYI.

Follow up of what I did.

Called 1800WILDLIFE and got someone on the line. Got correct time changed and also called the county GW and left a message of what happened. The lady didn't sound very pleased and told me that this is happening alot. Took me a total of 4-5 minutes and that was with a wait of being caller 3 in line. Hopefully they change the auto fill.

Precisely why I'll never download it. The last thing I want is the DNR having complete GPS access to my location information. Not that I would do anything illegal but crap happens and courts, more appropriately jurors, put way too much trust in electronic timestamps and logs. No thanks.
