Sand lake has a reputation for invasive fish. It’s in the city right behind the school my kids used to go to. People are stupid...they do stupid things. That being said, right before we left the state 5 years ago, they killed that lake. It was overrun with pike so they killed the lake. Spent a ton of time and assets to do so. With people on boats all the time to keep up with the dead fish so it wouldn’t stink, to restocking it with native fish.

I could see how they’re very upset about this. On the other hand, I’d say this fish was raised in a tank and released. No way has this bass lived under ice for 9 months yet.

People are stupid...like introducing wolves.

Yeah, figured some dumbass tossed it out of their aquarium... Most people put no thought into doing stupid stuff like that....
Killing an entire lake is a ballsy move too say the least... Kudos too them for doing what was needed....

Sadly, it was in an effort to see how well it would work. A lot of lakes are getting overrun with Pike and they’re trying to find a way to curve that. Then some idiot has to ruin it with something like this...

They don’t mess around with wildlife and resources.

We stomped some of the same grounds. Might of even had beers together down at The Anchor. I told my wife that if we ever moved back, I wouldn’t live north of Soldotna. Hated the people north of that!

Yeah I'm fortunate. I just got the gf, a dog, and a cat. They hate me being gone, but love that check!
