Who put in already? They changed things up a bit this year, to only three types of tags. Bull and cow firearm, and then an either-sex archery. I put in for the archery tag, and the cow firearm. I wouldn't be able to take time off to go during the bull firearm dates. Mid-May is a long way off to wait for the results!

I was gonna until I saw the tag prices. Maybe one of these years...

I totally understand that. I'm fortunate that I can set aside some of my summer money. And if I were to get drawn, the flexibility of the archery hunt means I could drive down and hunt weekends. I'm a teacher, so I can't really take time off in the western states for the money hunts.

Definitely want to do it someday if I can. Best of luck getting drawn!

Seems reasonable to me.

Yep, I would agree. Especially when you compare it to other western states. It's $10 per draw entry, 3 different draws, and you can only enter once for each. So Max would be $30.

Not that it’s unreasonable, just not in the cards for me at this point. I’m considering dipping my toes in the out of state game this year in Kentucky though as I’ve always wanted to do a DIY trip or 2 and not break the bank. Most bang for my buck is a NR license and turkey and deer tags. Puts me in the ballpark of the elk hunts price wise but more flexibility of season dates, opportunities, etc. Definitely not bad for elk compared to out west for sure!

I wasn’t calling you out Issac. You sparked an interest is all, and I scratched that itch. I’m sure my wife would make me quit drinking to fund it.
I didn’t take it that way at all buddy. Just walking through my thought process as far as that goes. Hell I might not even be able to do that LOL.
