I'm not sure if I have mentioned this or not, but if you have a VA disability rating of 40% or higher you can hunt Idaho for 1:10th of the cost of a normal non resident.
My rating is considerably higher than 40% and last year I bought my hunting license, elk tag, and a mule deer tag for $117. Normally this combo would have cost me around $1100.
Another cool thing about being a NR in Idaho is that if you have a deer tag, depending on the unit, you can use it to shoot a black bear.
I believe Washington state has a similar deal and Texas has a reduce fee for their hunting license.
