Harbor freight generators

I've been hearing good things about them. My Honda got lifted by someone a few years ago and I never replaced it. Having one in my company truck the last year has reminded me how handy they are. Anyways, went into HF today to grab some work gloves and a weed burner. They had them on sale for $899 and I was telling the wife I'd take one of those for Father's day or my birthday this year. Then we went to check out and they had one by the door marked $699. Guy said everything on that wall was 40% off today. We checked out and walking to the truck Christine said "I wonder if it was a other 40% off the $699" I walked right back in and walked out with a 0 hour generator with a full tank of fuel for $420 (450 with tax). So you might want to run up to your local HF and take a look to see what they have. All kinds of returns at the one I stopped at today.

i got it home and fired it up. Everything seems to work as expected. Guessing someone bought it because the world was gonna end again during the eclipse. Then returned it when Y2K 37.0 never happened. Lol

I see a lot of them at the races. For the most part they are just humming along. Every now and then you see someone cussing their "Harbor Freight junk". Honestly though? No more than they are cussing every other brand of generator. These things sit and gum up over winter. Or maybe get a finicky low oil shut off switch. Happens to all.of them. I'd say you did great.

That looks like a great deal to me. Remote Start and you can run on propane as well. 5000 Watts will run a good bit of stuff. I run my champion sometimes on propane and it is pretty nice as I have some 40lb tanks that I use to heat the cabin. I can run the air conditioner at the cabin for a couple days on a tank. Saves having to refill. Nice thing about the inverter is they only have to run fast enough to produce the electricity you are using. Saves alot of fuel as it isn't running wide open.
