I was thinking I'll send you a couple of blanks if I have large enough stock from osage I've cut myself for bows. what dimensions do you need to begin with?

What I am typically using (to start with) on grunt tubes is 1.5x1.5x12. In truth, I only use about 7.5" of the 12" length, so if what you have is closer to 8" in length that's fine. The diameter is the most important because it's needed to allow the components to fit internally and still have a wall thick enough it won't crack.
