First kill for dads gun!

My dad has had this tree hawk percussion cap muzzloader made by Thompson Center for years and never killed any deer with it. Well yesterday we were hunting and had a doe come on a trail right beside us and started to wind me when she stopped broadside at 35 yards and I let her have it. She didn't go 75 yards and fell!

Happy isn't the word for it! This isn't the first deer I've sat beside him and witness everything unfold. It makes my season to watch the kids make fast ethical kills on whitetail. If I get skunked this year I have no one to blame but myself. I've passed up several just so the boys get a chance. Our youth are our future and he is on the right path!
