It is mid April. In a month we will be seeing fawns being birthed. We will see some decent antler growth on the early bloomers. Most bucks should have some antler growth. Crazy to believe how quickly it all happens. Thought this might be a good reminder for us all and maybe an educational post for new deer hunters.

Unless things change dramatically, and I hope they don’t, I plan to be in the same tree next October. I’ll shoot whatever strikes my fancy, if one does. So as of right now I have no intention of spending a minute looking for deer. I will however enjoy following along and seeing pics of antlers developing over minerals this summer.

Does are spred out fawning batchler groups running around with zero crops for cover. deer in chill mode not in fear of every vehicle that drives by. It seems deer r everywhere this time of year, great opportunity to see population numbers in the flatlands.
