So I'm thinking about braving the deer creek dove fields on 9/1.

I called the ODNR and asked them which fields are controlled hunt fields and which ones aren't. The officer directed me to their interactive map system.

Can any of you get this wonderful piece of technology working? The best I can get out of it is "Dove Fields Layer Cannot Be Added To Map"

Working fine for me.

Zoom into Deer Creek Wildlife Area and then uncheck the layer on the left called ODNR Lands (just to get rid of unnecessary clutter). On the left, in your layer list, hit the tiny gray triangle to expand the 'Dove Hunting Fields' layer. The third one down is called 'Dove Hunting Areas.' If you hit the tiny gray triangle next to it to expand that layer's description, it shows the two types of symbology for the dove hunting field types... Controlled vs Non-Controlled. The non-controlled fields are shown as tan-colored boxes with speckling. If you click on a field, it'll tell you what's planted in there this year.
