This would explain why it was pulled from FB🤣. It is also what I told my buddy when he sent it to me. That snout is awful short for a wolf.
Talked with a few people about it. All agreed it was probably some sort of a a husky mix. I have a buddy who had a 83% wolf or something like that and it looked just like this thing. That being said, his wolf escaped all the time and drug dead, adult deer, fawns, etc back to the property all the time

that dude is in trouble if it is someone's dog, and it probably is. too well fed to be a stray.

That's a reasonable facsimile, but that tail gives it away as a domestic dog. What they shot had a tail like a yote or a wolf. There's no discernable difference between what they shot and a wolf IMO. And at 75#s, it's not beyond possibly (in the heat of the moment) that it's a wolf. Remember this? When they killed it in January, it had an infected, broken leg and still weighed 65#s, so you know it was 75#s when healthy.
